Abstract:
The diagnosis of problems is still largely performed by humans, and the level of skill and expertise required to diagnose a solution-level problem is much higher than that of a single product. Diagnosing and correcting solution-level problems in production environments requires a collection of minimally invasive reliability, availability, and serviceability (RAS) features and tools to be an integral part of the Java platform. This session aims to review the current RAS technology in IBM's JDK and discusses a new breed of Java platform-based tools and frameworks.
