Migrating between versions of the WebSphere Application Server can be very easy or very hard depending on the exact circumstances of the migration. This session will give an overview of the issues to be considered when planning for a version to version migration including planning, migrating the applications and migrating the application server itself. It will also touch on the tools and documentation that is available to assist with the migration

Bryan Prosser:
Bryan Prosser is a WebSphere IT Specialist, focussing on the Application Infrastructure and Business Process Management areas of the portfolio, including WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere eXtreme Scale, and IBM Business Monitor. Bryan has worked with a variety of customers during his 2 years in IBM and has presented at a number of WebSphere events. Recently, he has taken on the coordination of WAS migration technical sales efforts in the UK.
