Abstract:
How does WebSphere MQ really work when used as a messaging backbone in an Application Server Environment? In this presentation I'll talk about both how the WebSphere RA works within the WebSphere Application Server but also touch on the other application servers.
WebSphere MQ 7 and 7.0.1 added important new functionality. How do you use the facilities within WAS for example and what are the differences between WMQ v6 and WMQ v7 when deployed within WAS. I'll cover some of function and non-functional changes.
As the WebSphere MQ Resource Adapter can also be used within other application servers; what considerations are there with deploying within these other environments. I'll also cover the important question of the formal support position with these options.
