Batch Modernisation with WebSphere Compute GridnnThe use of Java as the new language for business applications naturally leads to the need to execute that business logic in batch mode. Yet new types of workloads introduce new issues into any enterprise, no matter how much benefit they offer, and this is also true with integrating the new Java Batch workloads. This session will identify the key challenges this emerging workload poses to IT environments and how IBM WebSphere Compute Grid provides the tooling and capabilities needed to smoothly integrate Java Batch into enterprise batch solutions. nThe session will also consider platform choice, highlight how WebSphere Compute Grid exploits the unique qualities of service of z/OS, making System z the natural platform for hosting both traditional and modern batch workloads.
