Abstract:
Technical Overview of WebSphere Application Server v7 Web Services\n\nWeb Services is used by many customers as part of their on and off ramps for SOA-based infrastructure. This session will present the fundamentals of the web services capabilities delivered within version 7.0. Come to this session to understand the technologies that were shipped support web services in v7.0 - the specification levels and capabilities supported within WebSphere. This session will cover use cases and scenarios for using various features within Web Services such as support for WS-Policy, JAX-WS, JSR 109, JAXB, WS-Security, SOAP/JMS,and others.\nIt will also explain an overview of some of the new capabilities that are now available to developers and administrators in creating new applications and managing their system.

Sara Mitchell (IBM Hursley)\n\nSara works in IBM's Hursley Development Laboratory in Hampshire. She currently looks after the WS-Addressing, WS-ReliableMessaging, and WS-Notfication functionality within WebSphere Application Server. She is a member of the Oasis Web Services Reliable Exchange (WS-RX) TC and a committer on the Open Source Sandesha2 project.
